Our Focus!

This is a "catch-all" independent resource for residents working with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. We appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Sunday, April 19th, OU Pediatrics lost a great teacher, doctor and friend: Dr. B. Bhushan Sharma.  If you wish, please make a comment or upload a picture of Dr. Sharma.

OU Pediatric Residents train at several locations in Tulsa.  Our teaching hospital is a brand new facility, The Children's Hospital at Saint Francis, located at 61st and Yale in Tulsa.

For ambulatory training we run a clinic on the Schusterman Campus, located at 41st and Yale in Tulsa.  Our program is part of The University of Oklahoma, School of Community Medicine.

The SOCM is the first of its kind in the nation.  The vision is to

"Build a learning community to improve the health of individuals and their communities through caring, learning, research, collaboration and dignity"

To see some pictures of activities both in and outside of "work" please go to our Recruitment page.  Including pictures of our recent Intern Welcome Party and our Resident Retreat to the Tulsa Zoo.

Some of the information provided will include an online copy of the Resident Survival Guide, resident news, working/projected schedules, possible vacation/weekend requests, handheld resources, academic afternoon info/supplementation, rotation FAQs, an alumni section, recruitment updates, and general pediatric/resident related links.

Please let us know what you want/dislike! Thanks.
